Lazio first arrived in the Gliese Precinct 5 years ago and was immediately appointed as Conway Nolan’s partner. Being associated with the likes of a veteran detective like Lieutenant Conway Nolan was indeed a privilege for a promising young rookie.
Unfortunately, her first public service on the day of appointment was to fish her senior partner out from a local pub and get him sobered!
Lazio & Nolan’s Relationship:
Lazio likes doing things by the book and Nolan is the exact opposite. He thinks rules restrict his creative mind. Not surprisingly, they are both constantly at loggerheads. Lazio is generally considered the more level headed one.
Though Nolan finds Lazio an impediment, he appreciates her constructive approach which also reins in his wild suppositions. He knows that he can trust Lazio and does not want to disappoint her.
There is some chemistry between them, but one that will develop in time.
Lazio and Angel:
Detective Lazio is an expert shot and routinely represents her Unit during Inter-Precinct Police Shooting Competition. She graduated later than Angelina Shen who was her idol in marksmanship. That was the only year where both competed in the Open Section of the games.
It was the only time Lazio ever finished lower than anyone by a single point. Angelina ran to congratulate her and that made up for her loss. Lazio still remembers Lieutenant Angelina’s words before she left the Police Force.
“I’m glad the Precinct still has a dead shot left!”
Lazio and Police Chief – Captain Shen Kwai Long:
From the first day he met her as a rookie in the academy, he already knew who she was and her reason for joining the force. He made sure that she would be chosen into his precinct and knew that perhaps, a partnership with Nolan might just be what they both needed. He treats her like she was his own daughter. He sees in her a troubled soul like his own daughter. He helped Lazio see who Nolan, her partner really was.
Lazio’s Dark Secret:
She has a reason to be in the Police Force and especially in Gliese. However, while following up on her agenda, she becomes more reluctant to continue with her pursuit for reasons that will become clearer later.
