During the Great Exodus, huge ships known as Arks were launched to bring humanity to the Andromeda Galaxy.  A New Imperia was founded there and governed under the Emperor’s name through the Senate and the Vizier.

While some Arks were destroyed in the long journey, Eratus 026 was the only Ark that simply disappeared; its status has since been that of a floating Ghost Ship; its sightings, considered a curse.  A famous old warship, the Prometheus, was re-commissioned for an expeditionary mission, but its ill-fated encounter with the Ghost Ship caused it to disappear too.

2000 Earth years later, Guardian Lord Princep Sabathius Dominicus of the House of Faith, while travelling onboard the Hyper Stella to the frozen planet of Stelegtos, encounters the lost warship, the Prometheus.

Together with Sister Senioris Myra Polemis of the Black Widows, shadowy arm of the Sisterhood of Mystics, Sabathius diverts to lead an expedition to the re-emerged warship where they find that things are not what they seem. Sabathius finds himself strangely drawn to the warship. A routine search and rescue mission soon turns for the worse when they realise that they are not alone.
